Essential Functions of School-Based Supervisor:

    • To serve as the primary strategic bridge between Valley Youth House and partner schools by maintaining a consistent, positive presence, communicating with school staff regularly to ensure smooth referral processes, and meeting with appropriate school leadership and staff at least quarterly to guarantee quality program operations.
    • To work actively across both school and office settings to provide regular clinical and programmatic supervision to VYH staff, ensuring continuous availability for caseload management, staff guidance, and on-site oversight.
    • To supervise overall service delivery by reviewing treatment notes, discussing treatment goals, and executing necessary actions to ensure proper, high-quality implementation.
    • To conduct regular performance observations, fidelity checks, and formal evaluations (including annual reviews), providing written and verbal feedback, commendations, or disciplinary action as appropriate.
    • To facilitate regular staff meetings for each program to distribute agency information, provide ongoing education, and offer immediate support to staff, including during crisis situations.
    • To manage the program’s waitlist (if applicable) and thoroughly review all program billing documentation to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
    • To meet weekly with their identified supervisor to provide comprehensive programmatic, school, and staff updates, ensuring timely escalation of any issues requiring higher-level intervention.

    Minimum Qualifications for Supervisor of School-Based:

      • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field is required, along with five years of relevant professional experience. Candidates possessing at least two years of supervisory experience are strongly preferred.
      • The Supervisor of School-Based Services shall be a mature person with sound judgment and represent an appropriate role model to youth and families.
      • They must never have been convicted of any child abuse offenses.
      • The candidate’s race, sex, religion, sexual orientation or state of physical ability shall not be considered when hiring for this position.

      Physical Requirements for Supervisor of School-Based:

        • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting.
        • Working on a computer.
