Help Desk Technician

Pay rate: ($24.00hr - $26.00hr)

Essential Functions for the Help Desk Technician:

  • Provide level I and II helpdesk support to Valley Youth House staff throughout the agency
  • Assist with the administration of the network and support of networked devices
  • Conduct trainings/orientations for staff in the usage of Valley Youth House technology
  • Maintain and audit compliance with Valley Youth House computer security and usage policies including HIPAA standards
  • Prep and deploy workstations for new staff and programs in the Southeastern (Philadelphia) region
  • The technician will travel to the JFK Blvd and Achieving Independence Center (AIC) regional offices to deploy and/or repair equipment up to 40% of work time

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • The technician shall be a mature individual with an ability to adapt to the philosophy of VYH.
  • They shall possess a minimum of a Certificate in a Computer Networking or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • The Technician will have a demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and will possess sound judgment.
  • They have never been convicted of any child abuse offense and shall possess or obtain required clearances and a valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements of the Position:

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. X Constantly 
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. X Occasionally
