Position: FT- Education Specialist - ($24hr to $26hr)

Essential Functions of the Education Specialist:
- To provide direct services within the EASD at least 60% of the total time worked and document progress:
- The facilitation of small group and classroom lessons to support student IEP requirements across EASD.
- Participation in community and school events as appropriate to disseminate information about prevention-focused topics.
- Collaboration with school points of contact to support IEP goal tracking through documented participation within small groups.
- Documentation completed within the Credible system to track demographics of students within small groups and track progress within curriculum.
- To meet regularly with their assigned supervisor to review the services being provided.
- To attend and actively engage in team meetings and professional development opportunities as assigned.
- To complete and submit documentation in a timely manner, including pre and post assessments for all educational activities.
Minimum Qualifications of the Education Specialist
- They must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in a human services discipline and must never have been convicted of any child abuse offenses.
- The candidate shall be a mature individual with sound judgment who represents an appropriate role model to staff, youth, and families.
- The candidate's race, sex, religion, or state of physical disability shall not be considered when hiring for this position
Physical Requirements of the Education Specialist:
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. X Constantly
