Associate Director of Prevention Services

We are currently looking for a qualified applicant to fill the following position: FT - Associate Director of Prevention Services ($68k - $74k)

Job Description: Under the President's and the Senior Vice President's supervision, the Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations within the prevention division of the agency. This includes, but is not limited to, staff recruitment, hiring, and training; fiscal management; administrative duties, and leadership. In coordination with Development and the Leadership Team, the Associate Director implements marketing activities, ensures compliance with regulations and contracts, and acts as a liaison with County Drug and Alcohol, Mental Health and Child Welfare personnel. They oversee the clinical and therapeutic team services and the overall quality of service provision.

Essential Functions:
  1. To establish and ensure the effective functioning of staff through hiring, training, evaluation, discipline, and commendation protocols in accordance with the agency personnel policies.
  2. To manage programs in a fiscally responsible manner according to the established program budget.
  3. To ensure the completion of program budgets on an annual basis 
  4. To manage program performance within the parameters of the established budget.
  5. To proactively deal with any budget variance, and
  6. To maintain regular communication with the Program Director regarding budget variances.
  7. The accurate and timely completion of program monthly, quarterly and annual statistical and funding level reports.
Key Functions:
  1. Provide essential program leadership
  2. Regular weekly meetings of at least one hour with each full-time staff member,
  3. Provide verbal and written feedback to staff including commendations and disciplinary and performance issues as appropriate including a one month and three month verbal review, six month and one year written reviews and periodic evaluations as specified in the agency personnel policies
  4. Coordinate administrative staff meetings on a minimum of a monthly basis.
  5. Review each program four times annually 
  6. Quality assurance of care in regards to documentation completion, service delivery according to treatment plan, and the monitoring of quality assurance activities with clients, families, and referral sources.
  7. Conformance with program procedures and protocol.
  8. Immediately report to the Program Director when a death occurs in an open case or a case that has closed with the agency within the last 90 days.
  9. Immediately report to the Program Director any situation in which a client or staff is threatening to sue or file a complaint against the agency.
  10. Immediately report to the Program Director the filing of criminal charges or child abuse reports regarding  students or staff
Other Duties:
  1. Meet with the Program Director weekly for supervisory purposes.
  2. The accurate and timely completion of personnel material (e.g. mileage reimbursement, time sheets, etc.)
  3. To complete other related tasks as appropriate or assigned.
  1. An Associate Director shall be a mature person with sound judgement and represent an appropriate role model to youth and families. He or she must be an individual who has never been convicted of any child abuse offenses.  A Master's Degree in a human service discipline and five years of appropriate experience required (preferably two of which are supervisory experience).
