Position: Associate Director of Independent Living Services ($67k/yr - $79k/yr)

Essential Functions

  • Maintain a retention rate of 70% or higher by recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding AAI employees within 4 months of posting available positions and by creating, implementing, and monitoring new employee training for the AAI program, as well as ensuring ongoing staff engagement.
  • Monitor employee spending monthly and overall budget usage quarterly to ensure discrepancies (ex, items mis-billed) and issues (ex, over/under budget by $8,000+) are addressed with the Director immediately.
  • Review Key Performance Indicators on the Central KPI Google sheet and follow up monthly with supervisors on areas needing improvement and to recognize great performance. Ensure quality services are provided through the monitoring of goal completion, audit checks, and the meeting of deadlines. This includes completing the quarterly employee scorecard for each supervisor with coaching tasks and suggestions where needed.
  • Lead a motivated team that can work independently and make decisions with minimal direction by providing instructive and supportive supervision to direct reports 40 hours a year in a formal setting.
  • Ensure every member of the AAI program understands the Mission of the agency and works in accordance with our values and theoretical perspectives (positive youth development, strengths-based, solutions-focused, trauma-centered healing, and restorative justice.

Minimal Qualifications for the Associate Director of Independent Living Services:

  • A bachelor's degree in Social Work or other related field. If the degree is in an unrelated field, then the candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in the social services field.
  • One to two years of experience supervising, mentoring, or proven leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work the described hybrid schedule that occasionally includes evenings.
