Program Coordinator

Pay rate: $25hr - $28hr

Essential Functions of the Program Coordinator

  • Provide team members with individual and group supervision/team sessions to model and train them in the areas of youth development, goal planning, case management, counseling, priority setting, and other skills related to Independent Living (e.g. permanent relationships/ mentoring, housing/household maintenance, money management, and health/ wellness).
  • Develop and facilitate regularly scheduled workshops, sessions and/or community events/activities to promote youth engagement & relationship-building, creative expression and personal growth for young people.
  • Lead team member recruitment, orientation, training and evaluation, and implement all personnel policies as required.
  • Understand and manage program budget; ensure responsible fiscal decision-making by the direct service team members (e.g. purchasing, cost effective scheduling /minimal overtime).
  • Be proactive in representing the program and agency in a professional manner and fostering positive community relationships within and outside of the agency.
  • Ensure crisis and critical incidents as defined by the agency, county, state or federal regulations are addressed, reported, and reviewed according to the agency's formalized practice and protocols.
  • Process informal and formal client issues, concerns and grievances from a positive youth development perspective and according to official program practice.
  • Participate in weekly scheduled supervision with the direct supervisor and be prepared with an agenda.

Minimal Qualifications for the Program Coordinator

  • A Bachelor's degree in human services
  • Must be an individual 21 years of age or older.
  • Lived experience and/or two years of experience working with adolescents is preferred.
  • Possess sound judgment and knowledge of adolescent development and behavior
  • Must never have been convicted of any prohibited criminal or child abuse offense.
    Must have and maintain a valid driver's license including vehicle insurance and inspection on any vehicle used for daily work and client transportation. 
  • Must receive a passing score on annual motor vehicle clearance.
  • Proficient in computer knowledge & skills (i.e. Microsoft Windows software).
  • Familiarity with the operations of external databases and Google Suite is desired.

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. X Constantly
