Essential Functions of the Supervisor:
- Ensure team members are providing services per the approved program description on the Google Drive to meet the program objectives through session observations, direct service monitoring and supervisions. Each direct report is responsible for 748 hours annually of 1:1 instruction and supervisors should be knowledgeable of assigned service levels.
- Monitor and review the completion and timeliness of all documentation and paperwork required as outlined in the AAI required paperwork document and the approved program description.
- Be the primary liaison between the Child Welfare supervisors and Valley Youth House ensuring regular communication and timely responses.
- Lead a motivated team that can work independently and make decisions with minimal direction by providing instructive and supportive supervision to direct reports 40 hours a year in a formal setting and running a weekly L10 team meeting per the L10 procedure.
Minimal Qualifications for the Supervisor:
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or other related field. An Associates degree with extensive experience may be considered based on experience.
- One to Two years of experience supervising, mentoring or proven leadership abilities.
- Two or more years experience working with youth and young adults.
- A valid driver's license, a motor vehicle report that meets agency requirements and reliable transportation that can safely transport clients if needed.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule that includes evenings.
- Ability to complete the pre-employment physical and drug test requirements.
Preferred Qualifications of Supervisor:
- Knowledge of the York County Child Welfare system and York County resources and service providers.
- An understanding of the barriers and challenges that youth face a result of being involved in the Child Welfare system.
- An understanding of the unique challenges faced by employees working in a high trauma environment. An understanding of Vicarious trauma and symptoms is a plus.
- Ability to utilize Google Workspace and an Electronic Health Record/Case Management system.
Physical Requirements for the Supervisor:
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. X Constantly
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. X Occasionally
- Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds. X Never
