Resident Advisor (SIL) - Lancaster (3 DAY Full Time) ($18.50 - $21.75 [awake hours] - $12.00hr [overnight hours])

    Essential Functions of the Resident Advisor:

    • To provide quality supervision to assigned youth during assigned shifts, evenings, overnights and weekends. This includes being on-site, engaging youth, planning activities, and supporting youth with life skills.
    • Successfully engage youth in implementing their individual goal and/or transition plan using positive youth development, trauma-informed and culturally appropriate frameworks.
    • To complete paperwork and site maintenance/cleanliness in compliance with program, county, state and federal regulations and private grant requirements as applicable.
    • Address and report any crisis or critical incident as defined by agency and/or county, state or federal regulations according to the agency's formalized practice and protocols.

    Minimal Qualifications for the Resident Advisor:

    • Possess a minimum of a high school diploma
    • 1 year experience working with youth. Internship and lived experience is accepted experience.
    • At least 21 years of age
    • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and ability to operate an agency vehicle.
    • Must be flexible to work day, nights weekends, and/or holidays.
    • The Resident Advisor shall be a mature individual with an ability to adapt to the philosophy of VYH.
    • Organized and highly adept at managing multiple tasks and assignments
    • Creative thinkers and flexible in their approaches to people and projects one year of experience working with adolescents.

    Physical Requirements for the Resident Advisor:

    • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. X Constantly
    • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. X Occasionally
    • Ability to walk ground to 4 townhome units and navigate stairs. X Constantly
    • Ability to assist youths with grocery shopping X Constantly
