We are currently looking for a qualified applicant to fill the following position: FT - Mentoring Specialist - ($18hr - $20hr)
Job Description: Under the direct supervision of the Social Work Supervisor/Mentoring Coordinator, the Mentoring Specialist is responsible for the matches in the Mentoring Program, organizing events and trainings while providing support and guidance to both youth and mentors, completing documentation, and completing associated tasks as assigned.Critical Functions:
Qualification: The Mentoring Specialist shall have experience working with youth, and performing outreach. They will be a mature individual capable of engaging with youth and mentors effectively. They will function well independently, be able to take initiative in growing and sustaining the program. They must be able to facilitate groups, workshops, and trainings for youth and adults. They must be familiar with, or willing to learn digital marketing and outreach strategies. They must have and maintain a valid driver's license and ability to operate agency vehicle. They have never been convicted of any child abuse offense. Bachelor's Degree is preferred. They shall be available to work evenings throughout the week and on weekends, as needed.
