Position: Human Resources Generalist (Part Time 4 day - 3 days in office and working out of the York/Dauphin offices) ($25-$28/hr)

Essential Functions

  • The Human Resources Generalist will effectively manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring and orientation of qualified applicants for open positions.
  • Collaborate closely with departmental managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the skills and competencies required for vacant positions.
  • The Human Resources Generalist will provide expert guidance to managers in various employee relations areas, including employee disciplinary meetings, performance management, productivity improvement, including recognition and morale enhancement, and training and development initiatives.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to enhance staff engagement, ensuring a focus on performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, morale, and occupational health, and be an active member in the safety committee.
  • The Human Resources Generalist will manage and process various employment-related matters, including unemployment insurance claims, ADA/FMLA requests, and unpaid leave requests.
  • They will address inquiries related to employee benefits, salary deferral, and occupational health and safety, ensuring accurate and timely resolution of queries.
  • Part-time 4 days - 3 days in the office and working out of the York/Dauphin offices

Minimal Qualifications for the HR Generalist:

  • BS in Human Resource Management or other related degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least two years of Recruiting/HR Generalist experience.
  • Working knowledge of human resources functional areas and applicable federal, state employment laws is expected, as well as comprehensive knowledge of ethical and professional recruitment standards associated with employment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and team management skills
  • SHRM-CP or PHR a plus.

Physical Requirements for the Associate Director of Independent Living Services

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. X Constantly
