Essential Functions of the Housing Stability Coach:
- Facilitate 660 hours (15 hours a week x 44 weeks) of 1:1 instruction with their assigned caseload working on youth-established goals in the Housing Stability plan at g it, solving it, and implementing the solution.
- Ability to speak and write in a way that is concise, commanding, and inspiring.
- Demonstrate an ability to see around corners to anticipate and solve problems.
- Uphold a collaborative approach with the team, office, agency, partners, and the community.
- Uphold the agency's commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion.
- Understand and adhere to Valley Youth House policies, practices, and procedures.
- To participate in weekly scheduled supervision with the AAI Services Supervisor and be prepared with an agenda.
- To attend and engage in team and all sta? meetings.
- To complete other related tasks as appropriate or assigned. The level of service is determined by the program description.
- Ensure the timely & accurate completion of all required paperwork (including documentation requirements) per the RRH Paperwork Guidelines document, the approved program description, and the HMIS guidelines set forth by the County Planning Commission.
- Ensure timely updates to all members of the client's team per the guidelines listed in the approved program description.
- Represent Valley Youth House in a professional manner at all professional meetings and public events.
Minimal Qualifications for the Housing Stability Coach:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years experience working with youth and young adults or providing case management services. Lived experience considered.
- A valid driver's license, a motor vehicle report that meets agency requirements and reliable transportation that can safely transport clients if needed.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule that includes evenings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in social work or a related field
- One to two years of experience working with young adults ages 18-24.
- Knowledge of York County resources and service providers.
- An understanding of the barriers and challenges that young people experiencing homelessness face.
