    Essential Functions for the Access Point Case Manager

    • A minimum of 50% of working hours will be spent providing direct housing planning and housing linkages, this also includes instruction on housing resources.
    • Help member's access resources for housing related assistance (i.e. furniture procurement, utility assistance, etc.). Serve as a housing resource for coach/case managers in the homeless service system and assist youth in finding and accessing emergency service options.
    • Research develops and maintains private market landlord relationships and permanent housing program options.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • BS/BA in human services
    • They shall possess a minimum of three-year' experience working with adolescents
    • The Housing Specialist be a mature individual with the ability to identify with and adapt to the goals and philosophies of positive youth development in the independent living program.
    • The Housing Specialist will possess sound judgment and knowledge of adolescent development.
    • This individual will be organized and highly adept at managing multiple tasks and assignments. Successful team members are creative thinkers and flexible in their approaches to people and projects. 
    • They will never have been convicted of any prohibited criminal or child abuse offense.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. X Constantly
    • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. X Occasionally
    • Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50. X Occasionally
