Pay Rate: ($24hr - $26hr)

Essential Functions for the Housing Resource Developer:

  • Build relationships and act as a liaison for landlords renting to youth in the tenant-based rental assistance housing programs
  • Provide oversight and management of casing contracts, casing documents, and negotiations within the easing terms with landlords and youth in our tenant-based rental assistance programs
  • Provide oversight and coordination of apartment inspections, landlord concerns, and ensuring tenants’ rights
  • Ensure up-to-date paper & electronic client records in compliance with program, county, state and federal regulations and private grant requirements as applicable.
  • Generate housing opportunities for youth in housing programs as required, assist in locating apartment choices that meet program and funding standards, and work with the teams to move youth into apartments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED required, combined with a minimum of two-year’s experience working with adolescents
  • 21 years of age or older, with the ability to identify with and adapt to the goals and of the independent living program
  • They will never have been convicted of any prohibited criminal or child abuse offense.
  • Successful team members are creative thinkers and flexible in their approaches to people and projects.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license including vehicle insurance and inspection on any vehicle used for daily work and transportation of clients
  • Must receive a passing score on annual motor vehicle clearance to be eligible to operate agency vehicle
  • Ability to navigate stairs is high y preferred (as some locations are not always handicap accessible
  • Identify with and adapt to the goals and philosophies of positive youth development in the independent living program.
  • Proficient in computer knowledge & skills (i e Microsoft Windows software); familiarity with the operations of external databases and Google Suite is desired
  • Possess sound judgment and knowledge of adolescent development.
  • Never have been convicted of any prohibited criminal or child abuse offense

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. X Occasionally
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. X Occasionally
  • Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds X Occasionally
