    Essential Functions of the Housing Case Manager:

    • Successfully engage families in developing and implementing their Housing Stability plan using positive youth/human development, trauma-informed and culturally appropriate frameworks.
    • A minimum of 40% of the working hours will be spent providing quality in-person case management services.
    • Ensure timely completion of documentation in client records in compliance with program, county, state and federal regulations and private grant requirements as applicable.
    • Generate housing opportunities for families as required, assist in locating apartment choices that meet program and funding standards established by HUD, and assist families to transition into apartments.
    • To attend and complete both external and internal agency trainings and workshops as required by the agency and funders (i.e. PA Mandated Reporter, Trauma Informed Care, Positive Youth and Human Development, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Domestic Violence, Mainstream Benefits, Fair Housing, Landlord Engagement and Housing Search).

    Minimal Qualifications of the Housing Case Manager:

    • High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • A mature individual with the ability to identify with and adapt to the goals and philosophies of positive youth/human development in the Housing and Emergency Services programs.
    • This individual will be organized and highly adept at managing multiple tasks and assignments.
    • Successful team members are creative thinkers and flexible in their approaches to people and projects.
    • Must have and maintain valid driver's license including vehicle insurance and inspection on any vehicle used for daily work and transportation of clients. Must receive a passing score on annual motor vehicle clearance.
    • Ability to navigate stairs is highly preferred (as some locations are not always handicap accessible).
    • Proficient in computer knowledge and skills (i.e Microsoft Windows software); familiarity with the operations of external databases and Google Suite is desired.
    • Never have been convicted of any prohibited criminal or child abuse offense.
    • Minimum of two years experience working in case management in the human services field including lived experience.

    Physical Requirements of the Housing Case Manager:

    • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. Occasionally
    • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. Occasionally
    • Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds. Never
