Position Title: Grants Coordinator ($22.50 - $26.50)

Location: High Point, Bethlehem

Essential Functions of the Grants Coordinator:

  • Actively manage a portfolio of grant prospects, writing persuasive proposals (ranging from $1,000 -
  • $25,000) to private funders that illustrate the purpose, activities, and outcomes of agency programs.
  • Maintain accurate records in the donor management system, DonorPerfect, in order to track grant awards, renewals, and report deadlines.
  • Create and present monthly reports that summarize grant activity, upcoming deadlines, and progress on annual fundraising goals.
  • Prepare and disseminate Gift Entry and Grant Implementation Documents, which summarize grant information, spending schedules, and required follow-up.
  • Facilitate Grant Implementation meetings with program and finance staff, ensuring their knowledge of outcome goals, reporting requirements, and post-award amendments or modifications. Schedule follow-up meetings as necessary to support timely grant expenditure and fulfillment of matching funds requirements.
  • Prepare and submit reports for government grants (primarily HUD and DHHS), including annual and semiannual progress reports and Homeless Management Information System data uploads.

Minimal Qualifications for the Grants Coordinator:

  • A Bachelor's degree or relevant experience is required, along with a minimum of two years experience with grant applications for non-profit agencies.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Windows Office Suite (especially Word and Excel) is necessary.
  • This position requires a professional with strong attention to detail and superior organizational, analytic, and writing skills.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple deadlines, work independently, and actively contribute in team environments.
  • Must have experience working in deadline-driven environments on individual as well as team projects.
  • The individual must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be willing to travel regionally throughout VYH's footprint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with donor management systems (e.g. DonorPerfect, Raiser's Edge or similar) preferred.
  • Knowledge of DHS, DHHS, JPO, Country Children & Youth, or Child Welfare systems.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work independently but also collaborate across departments in a team environment.
