Position Title: Functional Family Therapist ($25.75hr - $28.75hr)

Location: Perry/Juniata Counties

Essential Functions of the Functional Family Therapist:

  • Therapist's time will be spent providing direct, in-person services according to established program timeframes and protocols.
  • To provide individual, parent, family group counseling services to clients in client homes, schools, and other settings as appropriate within the context of outreach services and according to treatment plans.
  • To complete and submit to the case file all required clinical documentation in a professional manner within established program expectations and timeframes.
  • To complete child/adolescent and parent intake interviews and their subsequent dictation according to established program timeframes and protocol.
  • To achieve stated treatment goals with assigned youth or families as identified by program expectations.

Minimal Qualifications for the Functional Family Therapist:

  • Master's Degree in a human service discipline
  • Enrolled in a human service Master's program
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation to meet clients in the community (mileage compensation)

Preferred Qualifications for the Functional Family Therapist:

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, education or other relevant human service profession with two years' experience in children and family services.
  • Ability and willingness to work with families in their own homes
  • Flexibility to work when the families are available to meet
  • Ability to work independently, as well as contribute to a team
  • Very good interpersonal/communication skills
  • Ability to work with respect for cultural diversity
  • Ability to engage families who may not want the service

Physical Requirements for the Functional Family Therapist:

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. Constantly
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. Never
  • Moving from one worksite to another Constantly - driving to client's home
