Position: FT - Education Specialist

Essential Functions for the Education Specialist:

  • To provide group prevention and education services to Lehigh Valley youth in a quality manner.
  • To perform speaking engagements and conduct trainings and presentations as necessary.

Other Duties for the Education Specialist:

  • To follow the policies, procedures, and rules stated in the agency Personnel Policies, Code of Business
  • Ethics, and Program Procedural Manual.
  • The accurate and timely completion of personnel material.
  • To provide quality representation of the agency with other professional agencies or in court in a professional manner.
  • Support agency values and goals.
  • To attend external and internal agency trainings and workshops as identified or designated necessary, and as outlined in the Valley Youth House Personnel Policies.
  • To submit paperwork on a weekly basis and time sheets on a bi-weekly basis.
  • To complete other related tasks as appropriate or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications for the Education Socialist:

  • They must possess at least a bachelor's degree in a human services discipline.
  • Two years of experience.
  • Must never have been convicted of any child abuse offenses.
  • The candidate shall be a mature individual with sound judgment who represents an appropriate role model to staff, youth, and families.

Physical Requirements for the Education Socialist:

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing *Occasionally
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds *Occasionally
  • Moving from one worksite to another *Occasionally
