We are currently looking for a qualified applicant to fill the following position: FT - Education Specialist - ($20hr- $22hr)
Job Description: The Education Specialist is responsible for oversight and management of all academic assessment, instruction & case management related activities. This includes responsibility for individual and group educational instruction; assisting with enrolling youth in the appropriate education program at Bethlehem Area School District (BASD) when needed; other liaison related contacts and record-keeping as related to assigned tasks. Associated duties include implementing goal plans with youth, tracking their accomplishments, and assisting in maintaining all documents in the client record. The Education Specialist is under the authority of the Sr. Vice President, the Director, the Associate Director and reports directly to the Program Supervisor.Essential Functions:
Qualifications: An Education Specialist/ Group Facilitator shall be a mature person with sound judgment and serve as an appropriate role model to youth and families. They must be someone who has never been convicted of any child abuse offenses. The individual must possess at least a bachelor's degree in a human service discipline, and must never have been convicted of any child abuse offenses.
