Essential Functions of the Clinical Supervisor:
- To assist the team in providing youth-respectful, culturally sensitive and strengths-based support services for all youth.
- To deal with crisis situations in a proactive manner and provide on-call support as required.
- To lead, manage and evaluate IL clinicians
- To serve as a positive program liaison with all community treatment resource agencies. This includes expanding program knowledge and usage of appropriate resources
- To maintain continuing education of best practices for therapeutic intervention that is appropriate for populations served in IL programs
- Provide licensure supervision as appropriate.
Minimal Qualifications for the Clinical Supervisor:
- They shall possess a minimum of three years' experience working with adolescents and a master's degree in human services, counseling, social work or other related field. They shall possess a clinical license (LCSW, LPC or LMFT)
- The Clinical Supervisor shall be a mature individual with the ability to articulate and implement the philosophy of the Independent Living Program.
- The Clinical Supervisor will possess sound judgment and strong clinical and youth work skills.
- They will have a demonstrated ability to function well as a team member.
- They shall never have been convicted of any child abuse offense.
Physical Requirements for the Clinical Supervisor:
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. X Constantly
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. X Occasionally
- Moving from one worksite to another X Occasionally
- Ability to navigate stairs. X Constantly
