Essential Functions of the Advancement & Marketing Coordinator
- Annual Giving and Events Responsibilities:
- Ensure success ($125,000+ net annually) of at least two annual fundraising campaigns for the Agency - Funding Futures and the Holiday Gift Drive. Work with the Marketing & Communications team to design, implement and monitor effective strategies to drive revenue for initiatives directly supporting young people. Ensure accuracy of all pledges and gifts and proper receipt of all sponsorships prior to close of campaigns.
- Support the success ($383,000+ net annually) of Southeast fundraising events for the Agency - Southeast Golf Tournament and Southeast Setting the Stage. Assist with committee management (attending meetings, organizing meeting materials, and supporting Associate Director in committee relationship building), soliciting sponsorship requests, event logistics, and marketing needs to increase funds raised and attendance.

- Support DonorPerfect database growth and manage the integrity of the database by ensuring that 100% of activity is accurately recorded. Develop and maintain a portfolio in DonorPerfect database of 75 - 100 prospects for gifts up to $25,000. Research, identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospects using Moves Management to maintain a
portfolio. Conduct 6-8 phone and/or face-to-face solicitations per month and document 6-8 weekly donor contacts.
- Plans, implements, tracks, monitors, and manages Third Party Fundraisers ($100,000+ net annually).
- Marketing, Communications, and Public Relations Responsibilities:
- Support the comprehensive communications strategy for internal and external audiences of Valley Youth House by managing the Marketing & Communications Strategic Plan for the Southeast region.
- Design, implement and monitor Southeast regional content creation for fundraising and marketing campaigns, including, but not limited to, email/e-newsletters, direct mail, e-appeals, advertising, and print, ensuring VYH brand integrity and consistency, collaborating with Marketing and Communications teammates.

- Develop and maintain media relationships and identify new opportunities for VYH storytelling and features in local print, digital, and video news outlets. Support success of southeast regional interviews, press conferences, and public relations.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional fundraising experience is required.
- This position requires maturity, creativity, organization, motivation, independence of judgement, and the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
- A professional who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority both inside and outside of VYH. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines and have the ability to take initiative and interact with leadership in the community. Role requires occasional evening and weekend hours, and fixed office hours.
- The candidate must be an individual who has never been convicted of child abuse offenses.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, public relations, public health, healthcare administration, communications, or sales is preferred.
- Familiarity with Excel, Google Applications, DonorPerfect, Asana, Constant Contact, and social media platforms.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk, working on a computer.
- This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 lbs.
- This position requires travel up to 35% of the time to different offices and Advancement related events.
